Our history
After some 22 years of contribution to the transport industry, including 13 years service to Westrail, Raymond Marks founded Longrun Transport Developments. His hands-on experience and breadth of rail system knowledge helps ensure clients' operational, maintenance and economic objectives are met.
The company has developed a core team of highly experienced railway project managers and engineers that share the same values. We are building our team in other areas of transport.
Longrun has played a key role in significant projects in Western Australia over more than 20 years including PTA’s Metro Rail Link, Koolyanobbing to Esperance upgrade, and the Geraldton Southern Transport Corridor. National and international roles include chief design for Grain Corp terminal upgrading in New South Wales and a new rail project for Koumbia Bauxite Project in the Republic of Guinea, Africa.

Being in the transport and rail industry for more than 20 years, we developed an intrinsic understanding of safety and more particularly rail safety - an expertise we use everyday when developing and submitting transport safety plans.
